Common questions
No. Every download bundles FFmpeg and ffprobe, so nothing is fetched on first launch and no PATH configuration is needed. A system FFmpeg is used only if you have one and it is preferred.
Yes. The core editing workflows — Image + Audio to Video and Replace Audio — run entirely locally with FFmpeg. AI generation is optional and requires your own Google Gemini or Runway API key. Provider quotas and usage charges are separate from your VidMaker plan.
